The Keg Steakhouse Bar - Ajax: A Premier Steakhouse Experience

Took my family out for dinner here tonight We and while the food was just okay, the service truly stood out—thanks to our amazing server, Aaron. He was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. His warm personality and professionalism really elevated the experience. Aaron is the kind of server that makes you want to come back—thank you for making our night so enjoyable! I ordered the top sirloin but if you’re looking for a nice juicy steak I would suggest trying the NY or Prime Rib.

The Keg is a classic steakhouse restaurant. My boyfriend (who’s an American) had never been so we went for a date night while he was visiting. We had a great time, the atmosphere is nice, not too quiet, but always welcoming. The server was friendly, but took a while to come back after he left the first time. We ordered cocktails that were actually very good. I wish I could remember the name of mine but it was both fresh and fruity. My boyfriend ordered a Negroni — he said was really nice. We both got a steak done medium. I had a side of mashed potatoes, season vegetables and a side of shrimp and scallops. My boyfriend got a side of fries, season vegetables and the grilled shrimp. His grilled shrimp were definitely better than the shrimp and scallops thing I got, but overall both were delicious. Definitely recommend getting the mashed potatoes they’re soooo good. Before our meals we had the bread they offer which was fantastic; warm, soft and came with whipped butter. We also had the cheesy, garlicky escargot- it was my first time and I really enjoyed it.

Celebrated a few special events all in one night at this location and I can say, this is the best Keg experience I've ever had. Our server Jarrod was absolutely amazing, he was kind, attentive, knowledgeable, humourous and just made our evening. Unfortunately this is the 4th Keg location to have sold out of prime rib at dinner time. Thankfully, Jarrod made it worthwhile for us to stay and continue dining here. The lobster specials were great and flavourful, the steaks were done perfectly.

I had the Kansas City steak from their special menu, and it was absolutely incredible! Cooked to perfection, the steak was juicy, flavorful, and had the perfect char on the outside while staying tender inside. The seasoning was spot on, bringing out the rich, natural taste of the beef. Beyond the food, the service was excellent—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a great dining experience. If you're a steak lover, I highly recommend checking out The Keg, especially if they have this special on the menu! I’ll definitely be back for more.

I ordered the Rib Steak today with Victoria as my server. She was very friendly, warm and paid attention to my requests. I have always enjoyed the Ajax Keg location for the fantastic atmosphere, but have received my steak slightly overdone at times. I feel like their manager (Ryan) was tired of coming over to my table, but he was always smiling and offering to make things right. Tonight, they absolutely nailed it! Best steak and meal ever! Impeccable service and atmosphere. Thank you to our hostess (Arielle) who provided us with spectacular seats and to manager (AJ) for checking in on us and making sure we were enjoying ourselves. I could not be more pleased. I can't wait for my next visit!

Excellent all around! Service was prompt, sophisticated and so warm from top to bottom! P.S. Steak lovers: the keg offers a 24oz prime rib! Please enjoy responsibly! Also ordered a shrimp cocktail, calamari, sirloin and lobster (the butter served with the lobster WAS mouthwatering- I dipped my steak in it!) and a French sirloin which had caramelized onions on top! P.P.S try to go on your birthday to indulge in the wonderful Billy Miner ice cream cake. It’s perfect.

Warm hospitality with great attention to our food allergies. Thoughtful and attentive server. Celebrated a birthday and we lost track of time. No one rushed us. Food was good. Plating could be more … presentable.
